Meet Dr. Jay Asdell

Dr.  Asdell attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana and graduated from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 1983.  He completed his internship and residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.

Dr. Asdell is  a member of several professional organizations including: North Central Dental Society(past president), Indiana Dental Association,(current trustee) Indiana Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons,(past president) International Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Great Lakes Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Asdell is  a fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and a member of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. Dr. Asdell is also a delegate from Indiana to the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Asdell is a Board Certified Oral Surgeon. In order to qualify as a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a voluntary rigorous oral and written examination by a panel of experts must be successfully completed.

Dr. Asdell is proud to attend continuing education courses to continually improve the quality of care for his patients. He also sponsors teaching seminars for local dentists to update them on new techniques and procedures.

For your convenience, Dr. Asdell is an attending physician at many hospitals in the local and surrounding areas. He is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to assist you.
